R-454B is a next-generation refrigerant of R-22 and R-410A in HVAC systems. As a non-ozone depleting HFO blend, R-454B has 66% lower global warming potential (GWP 675) compared to R-410A (GWP 2,088). R-454B also performs at similar capacity and higher efficiency compared to R-410A. Users should note that R-454B can only be used in HVAC equipment design specifically for R-454B. A2L cylinders from Weitron are authorized to be transported horizontally under DOT-SP21513.
